World Gold Council

Love for beauty is inherent in all human beings. It is this aesthetic impulse which prompts an individual to create, possess and enjoy all that is beautiful. Jewellery is, no doubt, an aid to personal beauty and this is probably the reason why the art of jewellery has been associated with the development of human civilisation.

Over the years, through many industry changes, World Gold Council has consistently been the guiding light for the Gold industry. Gold has always been viewed as an investment commodity in India and we at World Gold Council are committed to change this perspective to view gold as a default fashion accessory for the quintessential Indian Women.

We already have a very strong base of gifted artisans who work upon a canvas of knowledge and heritage inspired by tradition and modern nuances to create "Ethno-Contemporary" designs.

Being an authority on Gold, today we take another major step forward by introducing the Indian Chapter of 'AuDITIONS 2005 - 06', in association with AngloGold Ashanti.

Through this platform we endeavour to tap the inherent and unique talent bringing forth the best creations in gold and providing a connoisseur of fine jewellery, a blend of innovation and inspiration. We have with us India's youngest and trendiest fashion designer Sabyasachi Mukherjee who will be the official consultant, brand ambassador and also one of the judges to identify the best of Indian talent.

So here's presenting to you the Oscars of gold jewellery design - "AuDITIONS 2005 - 2006", the global platform for developing and showcasing progressive design talent.
